The Inevitable ' Death '

Do you fear DEATH ? I do. But, It does not mean that i spend every ticking second with a trepidation concerning my inevitable death.
It is because death does not knock on the door every now and then , it will come suddenly and without any pre notice .
So, i reckon people normally do not fear death. But , think of a man who knows when his time is going to be over, Yes a person who is to be executed in a week's time. He is living counting every second left till the D-Day arrives.
He will leave behind his wife, a 15 year old son and a younger brother. I just tried to give it a thought that what his state of mind be?
I am totally baffled because only a person in his shoes can ideate this thing. But still i was able to come up with few points.

· Will he be thinking of the cheerful times he spent with his family and friends.
· Will he think of the few good deeds he did in his lifespan.
· Will he think of only the few days he has left and repent on the crime he committed.
· May be he will be too scared of the Electric Chair that even the thought of it numbs his mind to think of anything else.
· May be he would like spending the rest few days left in reading Bible and asking GOD to give him strength for the Execution Day.

i can envision its hard to think from that perspective but what i think is that its not the fear of electric chair that will be killing him but the wait of seven days for the same chair.
Can you think of something else that could be in his mind ??

The 'NICE' Guys

One thing i have recently started loving is understanding human psychology , and I must admit that this is helping me in personal development too. Recently, I have been going through a lot of thinking about why some guys are different than the others. After a lot of thought experience , I have categorized guys under two categories. First, The ‘NICE’ guys- They do all the things for other people’s (read girl’s) sake, they are afraid to say ‘no’ because they are afraid of what the people (read girls) will think of them, in short all the stuff in their life revolve around girls. Second, the ‘BAD’ guys – They are the straight forward ones , they do what they love to do . They do not give a damn about the species called girls.

This blog entry is a homage for those Nice guys. This is for the guys who for spending just one hour with their female friends ditch their male friends who they are friend with since they started muttering words. This is for the guys who are ready to spend hours outside the changing room at a ‘lifestyle’ store but spending a minute with their male friends seems like ages to them. This is for the guys who spend hours in listening to their female friends about what assholes guys are but who can not spare a minute to receive an incoming call from their male friends. This is for the guys who escort their female friends back from office, parties to their dwellings leaving behind their male friends searching for auto rickshaws at 2 in the night. This is for the guys who can watch the same movie (which they call a total ‘crap’ to their male friends ) tens of times if asked by their female friends. This is for those guys who are always accredited as ‘Boyfriend’ material but never end up being one.

She was going through a really horrid time with her boyfriend, only thing in her favor that this nice guy was around who could spend hours listening to her whining about how jerk and a scumbag her boyfriend is. Even knowing you have nothing against her boyfriend , you assured her how correct she will be in dumping him only because you are a Nice guy. This is for the time that she interrupted you playing your favorite game ‘Half Life 2’ and made you listen to her painstakingly dissecting two sentences her boyfriend said to her on phone. Even though , you knew this was a complete nonsense, you paused the game for 2 hours listening to her harangue only because you are a nice guy.
This is for the time she did not have a date for the dance party , so she dragged you.You knew nobody, you tasted Vodka for the first time in your life, she flirted shamelessly with you and you were left wondering when she introduced you to everyone as ,’We are JUST Friends’.

What I think is that ,nice guys do not get the credit they deserve, and to my surprise they do not also get laid as often they should being closer to their female friends. Any logical explanation to this trend will not suffice but what I assume from knowing girls during my college days and at my workplace is that , they want a nice guy to date but when they get one their reaction is ,’oh, he is too nice to date’ , so is being nice becoming a burden for them?

I raise a toast for all the nice guys. You know who you are and you might have started loathing me for calling you ‘nice’, but the fact of the matter is that the World needs you.
Your patience is needed outside changing rooms at department stores, the Bollywood producers need you for watching their Crap 10 times, Petrol Pump owners need you refueling your bike every now and then.
So, no matter what an asshole you are, my accolades, my acknowledgement, my gratitude go out to you for being what you are , a NICE guy.
